To perceive every student with his or her many possibilities to responsibility to trust for oneself and for others and education as comprehensive and open development to understand, is the claim of the pedagogical work at our boarding-Gymnasium Schloss-Schule.
The aim is to optimally develop individual potential in a motivating feel-good atmosphere at one of the most renowned boarding schools in Baden-Württemberg and to prepare our students for a fulfilled, happy and, according to individual standards, successful life.
In this sense, the boarding Gymnasium Schloss-Schule Kirchberg is a school of individuality – a school that, as a grammar school with boarding, offers individual paths to a cosmopolitan education.
Holistic education at the Castle School
For us, the development of individual potentials as well as an education in line with the challenges of our time are not only the result of planned teaching and educational situations. We want the children and young people entrusted to us to learn from and from life at the boarding Schloss-Schule in a good reform pedagogical tradition!
In order to achieve this goal, they are actively supported in perceiving and using their previously unrecognized craft, musical, social and sporting talents. Correspondingly diverse offers and measures at our Gymnasium boarding are therefore an indispensable contribution to the desired academic and personal development.

Our diverse range of in-class and extra-curricular activities in the fields of crafts and technology, as well as musical and cultural working groups, ensure that every student can live out and build on their strengths.
Living, learning and working interpenetrate each other at our castle school, one happens in the context of the other. This becomes particularly clear in interdisciplinary and cross-year projects that are an integral part of the teaching process, in excursions and expeditions that are undertaken over the course of a year, in a variety of sporting activities and in sporting competitions with others.
In addition, experiential educational activities at our boarding school offer a special opportunity to experience yourself in a group, to explore your own limits and to survive as a whole person.
