School and boarding costs

The sponsor of the Castle School is a non-profit foundation. As an independent school, it receives a partial subsidy from the state of Baden-Württemberg, which is calculated solely from the pure costs for tuition and learning materials at comparable state-run schools.

This revenue is used solely to cover the costs of realizing our comprehensive educational program.

Depending on whether the admission takes place at the Schloss-Schule as boarding school students or as local students, different costs will be incurred.
The Income Tax Act makes it possible to claim 30% of the so-called school costs paid, but a maximum of € 5,000, as special expenses (§ 10 para. 1 no. 9 EStG) in the tax return.

Difference between "external students", "pupils in the castle school profile" and "boarding school students"

Students can attend our Gymnasium as "external students", as "pupils in the Schloss-Schul profile" and as "boarding school pupils ". Boarding school students also have the opportunity to attend the neighbouring public primary, secondary and secondary schools .

With the parental contribution for external students , only the costs for teaching in type and scope of state regular schools are covered (among other things, the class divider is 30).
On the other hand, the optionally voluntarily selectable parental contribution Schloss-Schul-Profil covers, in addition to the above-mentioned costs for lessons, also the costs for teaching in small classes (up to a maximum of 20 pupils).
In addition to the services for students in the Schloss-Schul profile, the optional parental contribution for boarding school students also covers the costs for our supportive programs such as homework supervision, basic courses and support in study rooms, as well as the costs for breakfast and dinner, for the working groups, for weekend care and, of course, for accommodation and comprehensive care day and night.
